For more than ten years, Metáfora has successfully run Summer- courses in Studio Arts (the International Workshop), as well as several programs in Art therapy.
Of all our programs, the Summer Intensive is the most intense and full experience we can offer our students. While it can be understood as a “micro cosmos” of our year-courses, nevertheless it offers a different and unique experience to its participants; Condensated and ephemeral, in the midst of sunny summer-Barcelona, Metáfora changes into an “art-oasis” where students and professionals from all over the world share an experience to fill a life-time.
On the Summer Intensive, students can choose between two very different fulltime options; the Studio Arts Option (No Man's Land) and the Art Therapy Option (Initial Diploma). In both options students work in a studio atmosphere where practical art making mixes with theory and seminars.
